During the workshop, participants developed a personal guide to how to make best use of each of 5 national CAM information services (Australia, Denmark, Norway, UK and USA).
Several recent developments in constructing effective search strategies for individual therapies were demonstrated and participants received a short guide for use after the session.
Online sources of CAM research information were discussed and a preliminary guide to key resources was made available to participants.
Lessons learned about the presentation of CAM research to the public were addressed and participants had the opportunity to apply these principles in practice during the session.

Describe each of the national CAM information services, their particular strengths and focus, and how each could support researchers
Explain approaches to searching the CAM online literature including some of the relevant developments in constructing effective search strategies
List key online sources of CAM research information and the limitations of each
Describe some of the key considerations when presenting CAM research to the public
